Memorials for Different Faiths
Different faiths have unique traditions and styles for memorials. We create every memorial with complete respect for cultural and religious practice.
Islamic Memorials
Islamic memorials are usually simple and modest. Natural stone is often preferred rather than polished finishes. Some families choose Arabic script or phrases such as Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun. Orientation of the grave may also be important.
Jewish Memorials
Jewish memorials are often upright stones made from granite or marble. Hebrew text or the Star of David may be included. Many families hold an unveiling ceremony about one year after the burial.
Christian Memorials
Christian memorials vary widely. Crosses, doves and religious artwork are common. Many churchyards allow only natural stone such as slate or sandstone.
Hindu Memorials
Hindu memorials may include symbols such as the Om sign, lotus flowers or imagery linked to spiritual beliefs. Wording often reflects peace, journey and rebirth. Many Hindu families choose memorials for places where ashes are interred or scattered.
Sikh Memorials
Sikh memorials may feature the Khanda symbol or Punjabi text. Designs are usually dignified and modest, reflecting values of equality and humility.
Non Religious and Secular Memorials
Families who prefer a non religious approach can choose any style or wording. Designs may include nature themes, personal interests or favourite quotations.
We ensure every memorial reflects the beliefs and identity of your loved one with dignity.
